This garment is made from a vintage Japanese kimono featuring a dramatic fan motif composition.
 
Within the fan shapes are traditional Japanese auspicious patterns such as phoenix, pine trees, seigaiha waves, and geometric hexagon motifs.
 
The large composition spreads across the back of the garment, creating a striking contrast against the black background.
 
The front panel is made from vintage Japanese obi fabric and is finished with traditional Chinese frog buttons.
 
Each piece is reconstructed from an authentic kimono and is completely one-of-a-kind.
